Contact Transportation

Lexington Public Schools has currently contracted with C&W Transportation for the safe and timely transport of our students to and from school each day. Collaboration between the transportation company, schools, Central Office and parents/families helps to ensure a safe, enjoyable ride to and from school for all students.

All bus riders must register for the bus every year. If you child is in grades K–6 and you live more than 2 miles from your districted school, your child is eligible for town-paid bus service. Registrations are still necessary. All bus riders in grades 7–12 must pay the fee.

Transportation Registration

BUS REGISTRATION FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR.

  • Transportation registration for the regular education yellow bus service for the 2026–2027 school year is now open. Registration will remain open through August 1, 2026. (except new families who qualify).

  • The bus fee will be $450.00/student ($1,125.00 family cap). Please be aware that LPS will no longer offer an early incentive or lower fee. 

  • Payment is due 9/30/2026. Payment can be made through your MySchoolBucks account or by mailing a check made payable to the Town of Lexington to 173 Bedford St, Lexington, MA 02420. 

  • Families who register after August 1, 2026, will not have transportation guaranteed at the start of the school year. Transportation for late registrations may not be available during the first two weeks of school while routes are being finalized. Families are strongly encouraged to register before August 1, 2026, to ensure transportation is in place for the first day of school.

  • If a bus route is at capacity, please be aware that you will receive a notification confirming your child has been placed on a waiting list.
