The Lexington High School Science Department ignites a passion for discovery in all students. We offer a rigorous and engaging curriculum, from foundational biology and chemistry to advanced courses like AP Physics, environmental science, and computer science. Our experienced teachers foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and a love of learning through hands-on labs, real-world projects, and innovative teaching methods. We encourage student participation in science fairs, research, and extracurricular clubs, preparing them for success in college and beyond.

  • As a science student at LHS the following supplies will be helpful for you to have at home this year so that you can conduct and analyze specific experiments throughout the course of the year:

    • Ruler 

    • Scissors

    • Pencil & Pen

    • Colored Pencils

    • Graph Paper 

    • Lined Paper

    • Tape

    • Glue or glue stick

    • Protractor (Physics Classes only)

    • Calculator (can be an app within a device)

    • StopWatch (can be an app within a device)

    Teachers in specific disciplines may have specific requirements which they will share on the opening days of school
