The Lexington High School Social Studies Department fosters a deep understanding of history, geography, economics, and civics. Through engaging instruction, we encourage critical thinking, research, and informed citizenship. Our diverse curriculum explores global perspectives and prepares students to become active and responsible members of society. We strive to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.

The Social Studies Department will continue to embrace our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racist practices to break the cycle of racism and other forms of oppression. Now, more than ever, we need to speak up, listen, talk with one another, take action, and effect change. In the Lexington Public Schools community, we all belong. We invite you to partner with us as active "upstanders" who shape history and create a more compassionate, humane world.
